What Is Muay Thai?

Muay Thai, commonly referred to as "The Art of 8 Limbs", is a striking sport involving punches, kicks, knees, elbows, and clinch fighting. Muay Thai, or Thai Boxing, is generally accepted as the most effective combat striking sport. It is the national sport of Thailand and this cultural martial art can be traced back all the way to the 13th century.

Beginner

One-on-one, or small group instruction is provided to new students. Muay Thai fundamentals of basic stance, movement, strikes, and defenses are taught. Technical components of each are broken down and explained to assure a complete understanding and application.

Intermediate and Advanced

Techniques are practiced repetitively, through pad work, situational drilling, and sparring, in order to hone them to be precisely and effectively applied in an array of circumstances. In addition to fundamental through advanced punch, elbow, kick, and knee techniques, an emphasis is placed on clinching and clinching technique. Clinching is a critically important component of Muay Thai and can be the key factor in winning fights.

Fighters

Our instructors have successfully trained, coached, and cornered numerous fighters. Those who are eligible to fight receive specialized attention in fight preparation, conditioning, weight management, and ring tactics, from the time fight training begins until the fighter’s hand is raised in victory.
